Tu recuerdo

Me levanté esta mañana
y aún dormía junto a mi.
traté de no hacer ruido
para no despertarle.

Mientras me arreglaba,
para salir al trabajo,
me miraba sonriendo
sentado en la butaca.

Caminó conmigo,
se subió al carro,
iba en silencio todo el camino...
¡no dijo una palabra!

En la tarde,
cuando regresé a casa,
me abrió la puerta,
me dió un beso
y se sentó en la sala.

"¡Largate!" - le dije
"¡Vete ahora de mi casa!
¡No te quiero
no molestes
ya me tienes harta!"

No me sigas
no me llames
no me pidas nada.

Lo agarré por un brazo
de muy mala manera
pero parece que es sordo

A memory

Woke up this morning
and it still slept beside me
tried to be quiet
in order not to wake it

While I was getting dressed
and ready for work
it stared at smiled
sitting on my couch

It walked me to my car
got in with me
it was silent all the way
not a word from it

In the afternoon
when I got home
opened my door
kissed me
and sat in my living room

'Get lost!' - I said
'Get out of my house!
I don't want you!
Don't bother me!
I've had enough of you!'

Don't follow me
Don't call me
Don't ask for anything

I caught it by it's arm
In a really bad fashion
It seems like it's deaf
Damn it!
